Digipak

Digipaks are a type of CD/DVD packaging made out of card or other heavy paper/cardboard material. Most digipaks can flip open like a book, or it can have three parts, so that one portion of the packaging opens to the right and one to the left, with the CD in the center portion.

Pros + Cons -
- They look nicer compared to a normal album cover and pack but they are alot more expensive compared to a traditional ablum pack.
- Digipaks wont break like a normal case for an album. But they can eventually end up with rips and the paper can begin to peel away from each other.

Conventions of a Digipak –

- The name of the Artist
- The name of the Album
- Track listing including bonus extra's such as 'behind the scenes'
- Website and My space addresses

- Pictures of the band members or relevant visual imagery to sell the band
- Website
- Credits
- Recording information, producer, where it was recorded and when
- Who wrote the songs
- Logo
- Barcode
